Internet and Network Marketing

How the internet is changing network marketing?

Historically, network marketers used one to one pitching, and the 3 way rule, which means you pitch anyone who dares to come next to you on your company and products.

Only aggressive people succeeded in network marketing.

The internet is a valuable way to network, and to advertise at low cost.

Many took the concept to the extreme, and they thought they are going to use the internet as a solo way to communicate their message. They thought they can hide behind their computers and build a network marketing company.

Network marketing is a relationship business, and you can not build a significant relationship hiding behind your screen forever.

The internet purpose is generating leads, facilitating follow-up electronically. Then, you need to get those leads out of Cyberspace as soon as possible.

There are many effective ways to generate leads for free, or low cost through internet marketing.

There are many network marketing companies who never use the internet and even forbid their distributors to use the internet, and subsequently paralyzing their distributors.

NETWORK MARKETING SUCCESS – COLOR ME GREEN for PERSONALITY

SUCCESS - in your network marketing business and in general life relationships - is often a result of our knowing how to communicate with people. There are 4 basic personality types. They all require a particular approach when listening to and communicating with them. Would you like to determine in a very short time to which personality you are speaking so that you have a better chance of network marketing success?

These personality types are GREEN (Melancholy), BLUE (Sanguine), YELLOW (Phlegmatic), and RED (Choleric). Network marketing success can be greatly increased by understanding the differences.

Let’s zero in on the GREEN. They make up 35% of the population. What is the make-up of a GREEN personality and how does knowing this increase network marketing success?

This is the person who is analytical and tends to be a perfectionist. The GREEN is orderly, precise, deliberate, controlled, serious, consistent, thorough, and efficient. AT WORK the GREEN is neat, tidy, organized, makes lists and charts. The GREEN personality likes all the facts, sees problems and solutions.

What are the NEGATIVE attributes of the GREEN? They think they’re the smartest people on the planet. They are skeptical, hard to please, rigid, pessimistic – they want all the facts. The GREEN personality has difficulty making decisions. They want to be right and accurate. They get depressed and over-analyze everything. They want to be perfect. They have difficulty building relationships, which can diminish their chance of having network marketing success.

For the GREEN to be successful in network marketing he or she must learn to be a chameleon, must understand the different color personalities, learn to recognize them and how to speak and interact with them in their own color mode.

For example, another GREEN can be spotted as one who drives a safe car and stays within the speed limit. The GREEN is conservative and formal in dress, speaks slowly and deliberately, enunciates the words. Self-contained and indirect is the general personality style of the GREEN, who tends to refrain from outward demonstrations of feelings, and must work hard to show affection on a more regular basis. The GREEN personality will not volunteer information about his or her family and will answer questions that are asked but tend not to elaborate.

WHY would you want a GREEN personality in your business? The GREEN will follow the system in place and understand how it works. The best thing you can do is to move them into action through coaching and mentoring so that they can have network marketing success.

HOW do you attract a GREEN to your business for network marketing success? Just give them all the facts. They will look at ALL the information and make their own decision – you must never try to SELL them.

Network Marketing Sucess: Learn your colors

For your network marketing success, you need to understand some basics about human beings. Remember network marketing is not a sales business, it is a relationship business. Unfortunately, most network marketing companies training fail to teach those basics, and they leave their distributors struggling.

First, you must understand yourself, and your patterns of thinking.
Second, for network marketing prospecting success, especially long distance, you must be able to spot your prospect pattern of thinking and find his ‘hot buttons’.
Third, you must
understand that your prospects patterns of thinking may be completely different than yours.

Your network marketing success depends on understanding the four major personality types. You need to speak your prospect language and not yours. You can discover your prospect personality by listening and asking the right questions.

What turns you on may be turning your prospect off! Stop doing that…

For example, let’s talk about the ‘blues’

They make 15% of the population, they are the open and direct.
They talk too much, they volunteer more information than what you ask for.
They like to have fun, they see the big picture, and they don’t like details and numbers.
They have difficulty focusing on one task, you may think they have a ADHD.
There are more ‘blues’ in network marketing than any other personalities.

If you are a ‘blue’, you need to learn to shut your mouth, stop interrupting your prospect, you must learn to listen, and you must learn to focus on your tasks.

When you sponsor a ‘blue’, you need to teach him how to listen and how to focus in order to succeed in network marketing.

When you prospect a ‘blue’, let him talk, tell him about the trip you won and the fun you had with your network marketing team. Do not give him details.
Make sure you follow-up closely with him. Send him short and sweet E-mails.
If you dare to send him long detailed E-mails or a boring long detailed presentation, he will block your E-mail, he will make sure he screens his phone calls.

How to spot a person’s personality within 2 min

People fall asleep when we say “phlegmatic, sanguine, melancholy and choleric”. But we understand colors. So a Phlegmatic personality is yellow, Sanguine is blue, Melancholy is green and Choleric is red.

“The YELLOW's” Who are they?

They are the introvert, shy relaxed person who is content and kind. They are peaceful, gentle, friendly and are a good listeners. They live a consistent life, care about people and are supportive of others. Because of their calm, easy going and low key personality they can function quite well in a hostile social setting. Nothing “ruffles their feathers.” They are calm, cool and collected. Yellows make up 35% of population. They are nurtures and give from their heart. They don’t have time for themselves, because they give to everybody!

How to talk to a Yellow

Become a yellow. Slow the pace. Contain your excitement. Lower the volume. Yellow see excitement as hype, you trying to sell them. Don’t tell a Yellow about making $10,000 a month, because they’ll turn right off. Yellows do not want to be sold. They don’t like pushy, aggressive salespeople. Instead, visit with them. Skip the business. Talk about their family, their kids, their vacation. The yellow are slow in making decisions and perhaps overcautious in minor matters.

Why you want Yellows in Network marketing.

Yellows have built some of the largest organizations on network marketing…WHEN they have the belief they can do it. Yellows are competent and steady. The have administrative ability and work well under pressure. They strive for peace and avoid conflict. They are easy to get along with and have many friends and are pleasant and enjoyable to be around.

Network Marketing and The Choleric - RED







NETWORK MARKETING AND THE CHOLERIC - "REDS"
You have entered the Network Marketing World and joined a company you have always wanted to work with. You have learned some of the skills needed to make a success in your new business. Policies and Procedures along with Compensation plans you understand. But you are failing to recruit anyone to work with you. You feel you are not connecting with them. Why? Let's look at one possibility.

COLORS TO SUCCESS

There are four basic colors to success. We used to call them "Phlegmatic" being YELLOW, "Sanguine" is now BLUE, "Melancholy is GREEN and last Choleric is RED. Understanding these color personalities, their strong points, their weak traits and how to approach them is something we need to know. We need to become a chameleon. We need to LISTEN to be able to pick up on their personalities within a couple sentences of talking to them. Let's talk about the REDS.

CHARACTERISTICS OF "REDS"

Reds are the most difficult to deal with if you cannot keep in step with them. They are controllers, difficult to coach, bossy, impatient, but confident to the point of egotism. Our world could not exist with out Reds. They are the CEO's, the money mungers (they want all of it), they are driven and love control. They are proud of their achievements and let you know often. When they have a plan there is nothing that will detour them. They do not need or care if they have friends or as a matter of fact if you are their friend. These people are great in business and are born sales people, however they are not team players. They work better alone. They love expensive designer clothes and think everyone should dress like them.

HOW TO DEAL WITH A RED

They are self starters, dynamic, and well connected (referrals), organized, driven, and confident. If you have them in your business you need to know how to stroke their ego, challenge them. They love to be motivated at the highest level. To have these people on your team you need to be prepared to play on their level and if you are not a Red this will be your biggest challenge. They will leave dead bodies all over the place unless you have control at all times.

CONCLUSION OF REDS

To have this "get out of my way" person on your team can be most profitable for not only them but your company. Again, be the Boss always on an on-going basis. Give them a plan built especially for Reds like the stair-step break away Compensation plan, then leave them alone. Sometimes a Red will think they have a more efficent way of doing a task and they will tell you so. But, if your plans are proven, and are replicable, let them know in no uncertain terms there will be no changing. You are the boss. This is the time you want to stoke their ego. To keep Reds working you will need to do this. Keep ahead of them in their manipulative ways.

There will be many times when you ask yourself why you let a RED on your team. Just remember, if you are prepared with a plan of action just for them, and keep them motivated, you will have no problems. If not, you will be the one who will be turning in your resignation! So, think intelligently before hiring a Red!

How a 55 Year-Old Single Parent in Phoenix – Who Loved Her Network Marketing Company for SEVEN YEARS! – Realized She Had Been Betrayed

Do you recognize this person?

I signed with a great company that has outstanding products. I loved these products. They are non-toxic and they work. They are consumable so I kept re-ordering. Wanting a discount, I signed as a distributor. I sold to friends and family at a discount, because I felt guilty about charging retail.

I had the dream of a better life. I dreamed of network marketing success. I tried to do the business to reach my dream. I went to all the training, conventions, and read all the literature. I sank thousands of dollars over a seven-year time frame for tools and training: how to handle objections, how to pre-empt objections, how to close the prospect. They promised personal in-person assistance, but it never happened. I was on my own. I did not have network marketing success.

They told me that when asking people to host parties or try products or to join the opportunity, I needed to hear 100 "no’s" to get a "yes." I heard the "No"s. But "Yes" never came. I did not have network marketing success.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!

They said I needed "personal growth". Who could argue? So I bought books, tapes and CD’s to change my "lack" thinking to "abundance" thinking. I discovered that I "deserve" success, for sure.

But I still couldn’t do the business. The phone weighed 500 pounds. I hated follow-up, because no one wanted to talk to me. I found other busy-work – any excuse –not to pick up to phone to hear another "no". I did not have network marketing success.

I spent even bigger money on a year-long course to learn what to say so I’d never get objections. But I still couldn’t "close" the prospect.

It was the best company, the best product line, the best compensation plan. Company growth was phenomenal. None of it mattered. I still could not do the business. I did not have network marketing success.

I thought – WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!

I looked online for web sites with auto-responders so that I could avoid the objections and attract only interested people. But the company was not set up for that. And I was thousands of dollars in the hole. What to do next to have network marketing success?

MY ANSWER

I was introduced to a group that trains people for free in how to build a business. I learned how to read policies and procedures. I learned about various compensation plans. I also learned about the four basic personality types and how to apply this information in my business. I read my company’s P&P and I had an "uh-oh" feeling . No wonder I did not have network marketing success.

There are indeed severe potential problems with the policies and procedures as they apply to the distributors. 85% of the population does not do well with the type of compensation plan my company has – and I am among the 85%. No wonder I did not have network marketing success.

I learned that IT IS NOT MY FAULT. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME! I had been with the WRONG company.

There was feeling of freedom and relief I felt when I learned this. What confidence I have for the future to know I can find a company and team in the network marketing world that already has the internet tools set up that I instinctively knew I needed. I am able to find a new home and network marketing success.

Network Marketing Success as a Leader


What is leadership as it relates to Network Marketing?

Leadership is a process by which a leader influences people to convert their purpose or dream (their why) into reality with and through their cooperation that they would not have accomplished on their own. Leaders carry out this process by applying their leadership attributes, such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, knowledge, and skills. A network marketing leader touches people first before they can ever change their life. They touch them emotionally, and in the heart. A leader has a servants’ heart and is there to help take people to a whole new level.

What does a Leader look like?

A Leaders presence shows an air of simple elegance and refinement in attitude and form. They appear physically, emotionally and spiritually strong, yet they seem to have even greater strength in reserve. They are poised, coordinated and balanced. Their command is effortless, assured and confidence. They are calm and alert. They look good and feel good. They hold their head up, shoulders back and eyes forward. They breathe deeply filling their belly with air slowly and more fully with each breath. Muscles are relaxed and most physical movements are loose, light, fluid, agile and flexible. They speak with a soft voice in a thoughtful manner, rarely interrupt and are brief and to the point. There is power in their voice and words. They walk with a purpose yet are not rushed. They have a firm handshake. Their eyes are friendly, demeanor is respectful and their smile begins in their mind. They exhibit both style and class.


Who can become a leader?

Good leaders are made not born. If you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader. Good leaders develop through a never ending process of self-study, education, training, and experience. Leaders are not people with exceptional talent; they are people who have learned from their mistakes and get up and try again. A leader works hard. Leaders don’t grow in a comfort zone.

How to become a Network Marketing leader that will ensure your success?

*Leaders are readers.
Read quality books, books that motivate and inspire you. Set aside at least 15 minutes daily for quiet time. Think of it as a gift you give yourself.

*Know yourself and seek self-improvement.
Address your limitations. Losers make promises but leaders make it happen.

* Learn effective communication skills.
Speak with not at people. Learn to use peoples’ names. Be an active listener. Look at the person who is talking. Don’t interrupt or fidget. Be aware of their body language. Sometimes just be silent. Think twice and speak once.

* Ask questions and observe.
Questions are stepping-stones to self-improvement. Remember, the only meaningless question is the one not asked.

*Study people.
Learn their different personalities, listen for their hot spots. Observe how others express themselves.

*Learn from past experience.
View mistakes as opportunities to grow.

*Join a Mastermind group.

*Learn marketing skills.

* Develop secretary skills, stay organize.

*Manage your time wisely.

*Become an expert in your field.



A leader will express themselves in the following ways:

Leaders will be honorable, honesty, competent, candid, consistent, straightforward, loyal, determined, calm, trustworthy, non-judgmental, respectful and ethical. They will have integrity, courage, imagination, endurance, strength of will, self-confidence, compassion and a sense of direction. Theywill keep your promises and fulfill their commitments. Their words match their deeds. They will not be self-righteous.

*Leaders know their people and look out for their well-being. They will truly love them.

*Leaders speak with purpose in a clear and precise manner. They believe in their own words. The humor they incorporate adds interest to their speeches. They create interest with word pictures that have power and purpose.

*Leaders build bridges of tolerance and understanding. They attack the argument and not the person. Long term relationships are almost always more important than short-term problems. They are active peacemaker.

*Leaders make everyone feel important. They treat all people with deference. One may react to them rudely, selfishly and with malice but leaders will remain courteous.

* Leaders made an unwavering decision to go to the top.

*Leaders help others to identify and develop their strengths. They will be quick to praise and slow to criticize.

*Leaders seek new experiences and adventures. They are open to new ideas for a small idea is often the nidus of a bigger reality.

*Leaders are persistence, they are willing to stand alone and are prepared to confront resistance. They take reasonability for themselves. They bounce back from disappointment and adapt to change.

* Leaders step forward when most others gladly step back. Why? Because you know that courage grows with action. Fear is learned and must be unlearned. Without fear, there can be no courage. Fear provides the opportunity to grow.

*Leaders are problem solvers. They face difficlties and deal with them by making wise decisions.

*Leaders give books as presents. Agood book is one of the greatest gifts to inspire someone.

Network Marketing Success with lead generation

Network Marketing Success depends on effective, free or cheap lead generation techniques.

Surprisingly, lead generation techniques are completely ignored by the training of most network marketing companies. Most network marketers are left to struggle and learn from their own mistakes…

Network marketers should be able to generate leads locally or through the internet, and to prospect rejection free.

How can you generate leads locally?

  1. Classic Big Al strategy: When you are talking to people on a daily basis, you need to listen to their complaints, and when you hear them complaining, you ask: “Would you like to do something about it?”

  2. Another Big Al strategy: If you are around people, and you want to prospect, simply induce negativity by asking questions such as “What are your two major health challenges?” or “What are your two major financial concerns”, then you ask: “ Would you like to do something about it”.

  3. Business cards: Not the way you do it! Most of beginner network marketers, buy those expensive business cards with their company logo on and start to distribute them. Even though psychologically they are happy and they feel that they are in business. Those are completely useless and waste of money. Your business card is going to end up in the garbage soon! Your business card should have a message that triggers curiosity and leads to action such as driving the person to call you or lead them to a lead capture page. Big Al favorite trick is a simple massage: Call xxx-xxx-xxxx and request your free copy of the best seller book “How to get rich without winning the lottery”. Another business cards that can become ‘viral’ and will not be thrown away as fast is ‘the fake million’ with your message on it.

  4. Collect business cards: many of the major trainers in the industry, recommend getting other people business cards, call them and “prospect through”.

  5. Drop cards: Growth Pro system is based on this technique, you drop some yellow or green card that has a message that drives people to listen to a sizzle call. I have heard different successes about the efficacy of this technique. Other people use fake ‘hundred dollars’ with curiosity message that leads to calling. The call back phone number should always be a Voice mail.

  6. Car signs: Are you driving through superstars every day? Car signs can be effective, one time cheap investment. The sign also should trigger curiosity and commends action. It should never be the name of your company.

  7. T-shirts: The message should trigger curiosity and commands action.

  8. Hand bands: I see so many people wearing hand bands and they have lost most of their efficacy, but they are very cheap and it is always worse using.

  9. Buttons: are under used. Herbalife built an empire from using buttons: ”I lost weight, ask me how”. What button are you wearing? The same principle apply here, do not use some dumb button with your company name on it, use one that commands attention and curiosity.

  10. Door hangers: USe them to get customers. Door hangers success depend on the neighborhood. In order to succeed with door hangers, it has to include an offer with a deadline to create the urgency.

Look at Thomas Edison, Schwab, Carnegie and many others who have proceeded us. How many times did they fail? But, permanent failure was not in their vocabulary. Each of these men had a BURNING DESIRE to succeed and because of their determination, today we are a better society. They had FAITH in their DREAMS, they had a focused VISION on what they wanted. Pursue your dream as if your life depended on it. It is not easy, you have to let the T.V. go, the parties and all the other extra activities. You have to sacrifice now, so that later you can enjoy life. You are the “ Master of your fate; the captain of your soul.”
So, sit down and write your dream on a piece of paper. Write your WHY. Then look at it everyday. Be selfish! This is your life, no one else is going to help you. Think about WHY you want what you want. Write your WHY and you will be on your way to a SUCCESS IN NETWORK MARKETING.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT ABOUT A WHY?

It's about you. It's your story. Why do you or don't you like your job? What are you really good at? Tell about the things you love because usually they are what you do best. Why have you chosen the MLM industry? You may have had some successes. Write a journal about them. Tell the good and the bad. If some bad things happened, a journal will help you in the next company if you are in the market for one. You will know why you failed, or what obstacle you could not conquer. Ask yourself why you want to succeed in the Network Marketing world. Create a Dream for the future, something you really want to attain in your life. Be possessive. Focus on your dream and each day do self talk. It will begin to work on your sub-concious mind and you will begin to see opportunities which will lead you to your goal. This will keep you going when big obstacles get in your way. Make notes or little posters and hang them on your computer, in the bathroom, anywhere will do. Then give yourself a few minutes each day. Find a quite place without all the "chatter" and focus on your Dream. You may be surprised when opportunities nearly reach out and grab you!

Success is something everyone desires. We strive for it in our Network Marketing business. But what is SUCCESS and how does one attain it? To understand this let us examine the word and look at the characteristics of successful people. Perhaps it will enlighten us.

What is success?

Webster defines success as ‘a favorable outcome or result.’

Characteristics of successful people

Successful people have a purpose upon which they can build their dreams and goals. It is their ‘WHY.’ They have a deep belief in and conviction about their dreams. They are passionate. They don’t allow their doubts to destroy their dreams.

Successful people set goals. Goals are dreams with dates attached.

Successful people are focused. They prioritize and they separate the important from the urgent. They are able to distinguish their wants from their needs.

Successful people are persistent. They attempt and keep working until they succeed. It is not whether they make mistakes or even temporarily fail, but, rather how they respond to set backs.

Successful people are solution orientated. They spend most of their time thinking creatively of solutions rather than dwell on the difficulties of problems.

Successful people are curious and driven to keep learning. Ultimate success comes to those who train continually. School is never out for them because they are committed to learning and growing.

Successful people are balanced in all areas of their life … spiritual, physical, mental, social.

Successful people are committed to excellence. They think of ways to improve and are personally compelled to do their best today.

Successful people count their blessings and are involved in service to others.

Successful people are positive. They know what they want and with singleness of mind can positively and purposefully pursue their goal.
